Networkers do the Holidays

Recently, FastLane, JCI an a few other young professionals’ organizations got together at CLUB V in Toronto’s hip Yorkville district for an amazing holiday party.  Dubbed the Apres Work Holiday MegaSchmooze, this was one of very few times which several of Toronto’s young networking societies got together for a single event.

The venue, CLUB V was different from the usual FastLane events.  For one, it wasn’t held at a members-only social club like the Spoke.  Nor was there a cover charge.   It was also away from the Liberty Village district, where many of the past FastLane events have taken place.  One disappointment about this event was the lack of food.  Of course, this was likely due to the lack of cover – had they charged just a little, food would have likely been included at the event.

As with other networking events held by these organizations, guests had the opportunity to mingle and meet with one another, and able to discuss prospective opportunities which they could offer.  Many regular guests of previous events were in attendance, as were many newcomers.  In addition, a regular at FastLane, HiTech Tattoos, was there with their machine.  It was a popular station, and many people had their phones decorated with neat designs.

This was the last FastLane related event of the year.  The next event will be in January, at the Adelaide Club.
