Sarah Shaw Keeps it Simple

blue-pineapple600sarahshawBorn in New York and raised in the Bay Area, Sarah Shaw worked as a costumer for the entertainment industry prior to debuting her own line.  One of her earlier companies, Raggs to Order, a made-to-order costumer, provided wardrobe for many big-budget Hollywood productions.  After creating a felt pink bag in 1998 which received a great deal of attention, Sarah launched Sarah Shaw Handbags.  Within a year, media came calling, and the bags appeared in a wide variety of publications, including InStyle, Oprah and Lucky. Her eclectic chic style led, influenced by her upbringing, led to her bags being sold at Anthropologie.

After many years of success as a bag designer, Sarah wanted to expand.  This was when Simply Sarah was born.  A line of bag hangers, cosmetic bags and baskets, Simply Sarah is a home and lifestyle brand designed to make one’s living space better-organized.  The bag hanger, called the “Handy Hold All,” for example, is 39″ long, 4″ wide and contains 7 loops.  Items can be hung on the loops by snapping them in place.  The hanger can then be hung on a wall or in one’s closet.

The Handy Hold All is available in 14 different patterns and is $30 US.  There are 12 versions of the cosmetic bag at $24.  Baskets are $55 and available in two different shapes (square and rectangular) and come in sets of three. There are six different patterns available.  The Handy Hold All and other Simply Sarah products can be purchased online or in these stores.
