Summerlicious 2010: July 9 to July 25

Sixty-four restaurants are participating in this event, with three-course lunches priced at and dinners (also three courses) at the usual $15, $20 and $25 for lunch and $25, $35 and $45 for dinner.  This will take place for two weeks, starting next Friday, July 9 and ending on July 25.  Reservations have already started, and the most popular restaurants book up quickly.

Prospere Magazine recommends the following places:

Quince (Yonge and Eglinton area): Summerlicious available for dinner only, at $25 for the three course meal.  One of the main choices at Quince is a wood-fire salmon with quinoa tabule and cucumber yogurt, is found on their regular menu as well.

The Rosedale Diner (Yonge, between Summerhill and Rosedale stations): Lunch is $15 and dinner is $25.  This place is not your traditional diner in the burger and fries sense.  One interesting point about their lunch menu is that all three appetizer choices are vegetarian.  Dinner, on the other hand, has two vegetarian appetizer choices.

Vaticano (Yorkville area): Lunch is $20 and dinner is $35.  Surprising price, as I was expecting higher, considering that it is in Yorkville. At this Italian eatery, some of the choices, especially for lunch, seem to be rather plain.  Really, spaghetti aglio olio?  Olive oil, artichoke and pine nuts?  The dessert choices, however, sound great (I want tiramisu!)
